This is it. This is probably the last time I'm writing a post for this blog. (Maybe...) School is over, finals are over and grades have been posted (still have an awesome GPA of 3,9).

It's been a very relaxing last week for me. Two new roommates moved in last weekend; Syndi Spencer (Maori girl from New Zealand) and Johanna (the other Swedish girl in school). I've mostly been hanging out with her, going on a few Hawaiian adventures, as well as road-tripping a little bit with Nathalie&Kit.
I've been to Haleiwa Eats, Sunset Beach, Cheesecake factory x2, swap meet, Waikiki, Waimea beach, temple beach, Menchies (frozen Yoghurt place) and movie in Mililani, Walmart x2, Costco and a bus trip down to Kaneohe.

I've managed to pack, repack, pack again and buy two new suitcases to bring home. Although, I'm a bit worried about how this volcano thing in Iceland is gonna work out. Seems like I could end up stranded in Chicago.. Cross-my-fingers-and-pray-to-God-not.. Mom said something about how all of Europe is closed for air-travels, and only the very nothern parts of England and Norway are safe to fly through. Also that the charter companies have their tourists fly to Barcelona and then take buses home. (I'M NOT GOING TO DO THAT! It would seriously take me a week (total) to get home...)

So while constantly checking my flights and airline updates, I'm slightly starting to stress out, again, as to how to get home.

I've had plenty of fun this week, though. Thank goodness for nice, polite, funny and lovable people like Johanna, Kit and Nathalie.

I might write one last post upon my arrival in the sweet homelands of Stockholm, Sweden.

that is what I call a sunday.

Except that bishops wife came by today. This sweet lady from Tonga (at least i think she is) and was gonna visit me and Brittany. I was the only one home, so she sat down, asked if I went to church (which i did) and said that she appreciates me going to church and that she loves me. The "loves me" part was a chocker, since we've never ever talked before and she doesn't know me. But, I guess I should be happy that she even cares, since I've been feeling somewhat lonesome latetly. I think that might be Heavenly Fathers way of saying "Jackie, people care, people you don't even know show appreciation for you". I can't help feeling a bit weirded out though, you know?

Anyway.

I was down in Honoulu with Paul last night. Probably the first time that we've actually hung out in a month. We drove high up into the neighborhoods on the hillsides of Honolulu and had a view over the whole town. For the first time in my life, I actually saw a sun set, actually go down-touch-the-horizon-then-disappear sunset.The sun was glowing in a bloodorange color. Beautiful.

But I'm homesick. I just want to go home.

Finals week is coming up. I'm panicking on the inside over everything right now. Tests, papers, final presentations.
I have so many checklists.. so little time.. so little sleep, and a lot of sleep debt.

why am I so snappy and easily irritated when I'm tired?

For our final project in Visual Design, we are making a "visual resume" in form of a piece of art that is to represent ourselves. It is time for a change

Really. I fell like all I ever do is study.. and work.. and... Nothing! This is changing!

I've been rtying to keep myself busy this week with dinners, movie nights, trips, and different hangouts, and I feel absolutely wonderful!

It really is time for me to get some serious designing done too. I get so excited and super inspired in my Visual Design class for every project that we do. We're almost done with the whole lecture part of the class, and will soon be having project classes (YAY!)

And I'm also thinking: Haircut & Major change. I did my complete MAP the other day, and I'm thinking of changing my major.. still sticking to art but skipping the education part and do ECON and/or Entrepreneurship as minor(s) .

My landlord tog me and Brittany to her chiropractor this afternoon for some serious backcracking. believe me, it was. My 3day long headache is now gone and my back feels so good. for 20 dollars only.

Today, I had my first psychology test. Turned out pretty good, I'll have to wait til monday to see the results though (cross your fingers!)

I'm so tired! I've barely been sleeping at all this week. Going from work-class-work-homework-ceramics studio (take away one, add another).

I salute this weekend. You are very well needed. I need sleep, and maybe ice-skating tomorrow! :D

So on Monday we made Swedish meatballs at Nathalie's House. Erin got so excited when when Nathalie asked her if she wanted to mix everything and roll the meatballs. So funny!
Good thing she got to experience a Swedish dish with Nathalie, while I enjoyed homemade mashed potatoes and salad :P haha

We had plans on clubbing this weekend, but they didn't happend. brittany didn't feel well.
BUT, we did go to Haleiwa Eats with Nathalie and Christa. I LOVE HALEIWA EATS! I would by a ticket from Sweden to Hawaii, go to Haleiwa Eats and then back to Sweden again, just for their Thaifood. thats how much I love Haleiwa Eats. Tips: Mussaman Curry w/ Shrimps & Sticky Rice.

Anyways, this weekend, as most weekends, have been very good. I took my history homework and Nathalie with me to Waimea Beach. Went to Walmart, since we were already halfway there, and then stopped at Kava Roots for my first back-to-Hawaii Acai Bowl (SO GOOD!).

The rest of Saturday was spent with finishing up Psychology&Visual design homework, then running over to Shelby's place with Paul to watch Titanic. Yes, I know, but Shelby had never seen Titanic.

Sunday hasen't been too exciting. But we have had major cake-baking going on in our house. Brittany made a Strawberry cake w/chocolate frosting and Shelby&Tessa made home-made Oreos.

I'm ready for a new week.. almost.

Its been such a good weekend. Things are finally starting to happen. Sweet Saturday bus-trip (by myself, and yes it was very recreational, thank you very much). Sephora, Forever21 + Victoria's Secret. Dinner with Nathalie. Late night chilling with Brittany and being hit on by 2 hot University of Hawaii boys at 7Eleven..

Sunday: Church. Watching Lovely bones with Brittany. Birthday cake making for our Landlady. Erin coming over at 6 (YES!) and driving over to her place, being picked up by Cherise. Hanging out at Cherise's house watching movies and eating pasta.

I've figured out why I'm not following in my psychology class.. I'm a days reading behind everyone else: I have absolutely no idea of how that happened.. but for some reason, even though I've looked at my reading assignment paper, I've fallen a day behind.

NOt only do I have 25 pages from my missed reading assignment to do, but an extra 25 for tomorrows class. KILL ME! Time to bring out my skim-reading skills and my marker, start marking definitions like crazy and let go of that "be-good-read-everything" principle thats nibbling on my brain.

So, I'm back in Hawaii. Settled at Paradise Place (in front of School of Education). I have food, sheets, schoolbooks, a hand-me-down bike (with a flat tire.. haha) and have pretty much bumped in to all my friends these past days. I've been hanging out a lot with Paul and Nathalie, though.

this weekend I finally got to go to the beach for real, and did my psychology homework there starting the day at Hukilau with Nathalie, then dropping her off, and Paul meeting me up at Temple. We made sandcastles :] .

I love my Visual Design class, and History has turned out to be quite interesting. Psychology is.. well, psychology, and Ceramics & Eternal Marriage should be fun.

My car is not itself. The cooling system is not really working, and as soon as it's gonna be driven, I'll have to put gallons of water in the engine. It needs fixing, and I'm not so excited about that.

2010 - WELCOME!

Last Nights New Years Party was so much fun. Although the music weren't that good, the people certainly were. I'm so happy to have celebrated the coming of a New Year with them! Last year, at this time, I was in Las Vegas, which is probably why last year was so good too!

No New Years resolutions. They only make people paranoid at the end of the year, which is why I haven't had any for.. ages. My goal will instead be to maintain my motto "to never say anything about someone that you wouldn't tell them face-2-face".

This year I've become better at: organize, tell people what they mean to me and to be more open with my feelings (well, except for anger that is, haha).

Year 2009:
Jan: Leaving Las Vegas for a last semester at BYU Hawaii. Get to know Brittany.
Feb: School continues, I spend most of my time in the Math Lab.
Mars: Brittany & Heathers Birthdays, party held at TB.
April: Leave Hawaii to go home to Sweden again. A bridal shower is held for my childhood friend Amanda.
May: My sister Sabine turns 20. Graduation party á la Stephanie. Realize that FIDM will be WAY too expensive and decide to stay in Sweden. Apply for The Pattern cutter Program.
June: Steph graduates. I get a job.
July: Got accepted to the Pattern Cutter Program. I go as a leader for a YW/YM conference! Start to think that it might be nice to go back to Hawaii again, and start to re-apply.
Aug: Visit Paul & Brittany in Oregon. A roadtrip to San Francisco. School Starts! Got re-admitted to BYU Hawaii.
Sep: I turn 22 and celebrate with great measures. Get to know a whole bunch of cool people from YSA, like Miriam and Marlene. Start Applying for Scholarships.
Oct: Get 2 new jobs. One back att Espresso House and a new one at the baby/childrens clothing store Floralin&Junior. Start registering for classes.
Nov: Work 24/7. Get scholarships from BYU Hawaii and start arranging for living.
Dec: Work, but not 24/7. School ends, and I get an Honoring Award with a diploma and a gift certificate. Celebrations in different places and in different ways are held to enlight the month of December. Packing for Hawaii starts.

All that is left to do now is pack, pack like a maniac. There are piles of clothes on my ironing board and on my carry-on bag. United airlines make you pay for your second bag! If I'd bought my ticket in september, my second bag would've been free... 50 dollar for a second bag. GOSH! I hope the people at Arlanda Airport here in Sweden let me have my second bag for free anyways. One can only hope.

All done for the New years Part last night, with false eyelashes and all. :)

It is Christmas Eve in Sweden, the day we celebrate Christmas. And I'm loving it! It has been such a good day. Sleeping in, gift opening, breakfast and getting ready with the family, then us going over to my Grandmothers place to celebrate Christmas with her and my Aunt Catarina.

Tomorrow awaits Christmas Celebrations with my Dad and his wife Elena.

The perfect Christmas weather is right outside my door. Snow, cold (but not to cold), glistening christmas decorations and people gift shopping. Some parents are pulling their kids in little plastic sledges while the kids laugh and tell them to go faster.

Easy to say, that I really enjoy being home for Christmas this year. And we finally have snow for Christmas, that stays on the ground. Last time we had this much snow for Christmas, was probably 10 years ago. It always melts away, or only small patches of snow stay on the ground before they melt.

Last night, my sisters, my mom & I, sat up putting a puzzle together while listening to Christmas songs. It couldn't have been more of a perfect Friday night!

It has been an awesome week. And the most effective Saturday ever! I had my last day of school yesterday, that was celebrated with a lunch and The Principal giving out Honoring Awards. And guess what? I GOT ONE! For best Pattern-constructing student. A diploma with the honoring award and a gift certificate at Sweden's version of Barnes&Nobles. I was so happy! Everyone in my class kept congratulating me, and my teachers talked to me for a long while after. I never expected to get an Award, and was really chocked when they called out "Patternconstructor: Jacqueline Usterud". Needless to say - I was ecstatic!

Today I finally booked my flight to Hawaii (and got a haircut, that was seriously needed). I'll leave early morning on January 2nd, and arrive in Honolulu at 8.30pm the same day. YAY!
Good thing I got some serious Christmas gift- and clothing shopping done today, 'cuz I need to start packing... I'm leaving so soon!

such a tiresome week, but oh so good.

Monday: Girls night with Ben&Jerry's, chips, gossip and chick flicks. School-skipping (well, at least not getting to school in time).
Tuesday: School & late Work
Wednesday: School & late Work.
Thursday: Homework, and school. I aslo stayed up.. way late.. to make a vest. Pictures will be posted! Afternoone Non-Coffee date with David.
Friday: School, Work, then chilling with Miriam, Sabine, Marlene, an Australian & an American boy. Way nice! A lot of Coke, candy and sucky movies.. Titanic and Sweet Home Alabama.. Need I say more? But oh so fun.
Saturday: Well, since we stayed up way late and ended up sleeping on each others butts in the sofa, we dragged ourself into Miriam's room and us girls crashed all over the place. Two on the bed, one on the floor and one on the loveseat. Woke up, went into town and got breakfast at Coffeehouse by George, and then went Vintage shopping. Marlene got this super nice Vintage Chanel necklace that was to die for. I love these girls. I really feel that I've found my kind of girls, which is more than beyond awesome.

I have to make something to ware for New Years. For reals. And I also just got an order for a New Years Dress from a girl that I work with. YAY!

Anyways. My weeks been so busy. But oh so good. Schools been intense, grading charts and grading patterns.

A couple of weeks ago, my boss and I, designed 15 children's garments that are going into production for fall/winter next year. So sweet. I've also been helping her out with measurement lists for some child PJ's.

I'm going slightly insane over here. Been working like crazy. Pretty much 6 days a week, along with going to school 5 days a week.

This week is our "finals" week. Tomorrow is my last day of a three day long test in Manual Pattern Constructing. And my brain is FRIED! Can't wait for this week to be over!
I'm already done with the final kit that we had to turn in for the computerized part which was pretty major too. A lot of measurementlists, patterns, flat sketches in Adobe Illustrator (That I've learned to love, by the way!) and detailed sketches and closeups.

And. I miss my American friends. Kind of a lot too. I told my boss today about me going back to Hawaii. And I also told her, and I don't think I've told anyone else but my family yet, that I recieved scholarships for my portfolio! Yay! They cover a lot of my expenses too. So great!

Well. Time for bed. TTYL.

It was my first time back as a barista last night, and it was s-o-o-o good! I forgot how good the roasted coffee-beans smell, and how fun it is when you manage to make a leaf or a heart on someones latte or cappuccino. And I made a heart on my very first latte, back at Espresso House. My boss is super nice, and the coffee shop I worked in last night was located at a very calm part of a Mall. Everything went well, and not to mention 4 hours of $15/h pay + overtime! So sweet!

I love what they pay you an hour in Sweden! Beats the crap out of 7.25 an hour!!

No, its more likely the total opposite. I signed a contract with Espresso House today. (my pre-hawaiian job). That means that I have two jobs (one signed up and done for, today), an internship at a Fashion Department Stores Headquarters starting week 49(end of november) and PatternConstruction school.

It's kinda sick - how everything just flows right now. For reals. Might be sressful, but also absolutely wonderful before going back to Hawaii. Best part about it all is that the Fashion Department Store and Espresso House wants me to come back to them when I'm home in between semesters next year for Emma's graduation. And the didn't care that I was going back in you months. O-M-Gosh. Gotta say, I missed being a Barista for a while. The guests and the people I worked with were so nice!

Well Mr Jefferson, I'd say "agreed" to "stand like a rock" when it comes to principles, but also "swim in your own direction a little, while following the current". Everyone needs to be comfortable with their own style and explore. Don't just follow the current. You need to be YOU. (and I'm not just talking about personal style now.) The people I admire the most are the ones who are themselves, and not just what everyone else wants/expects/tells them to be.

Sure. Sick day today. Sabine must have contaminated me. She's been sick all week. And here I thought that I've become immune. Nope.

Saddest thing today is the slip-and-fall I did after picking up the pizzas with Sabine today. GOOD THING no one saw, and all I got was a bruised ego.. Well, that, and a scraped knee and torn jeans. Fantastic way to start this week.

Though unluckiness opened this week, I managed to make a skirt today. White with tulle knots in the front and a big sipper in the back. Picture will be uploaded later.

Now: cough drops, aspirin and some sleep.

I've been prepping for two job interviews this week. Right after I got back to school from the other interview on Wednesday, another place called for an interview two days after. So I had a second job interview on Thursday. Yesterday, the kids clothing store called back and want me to come work for them on Thursday to see how i would fit in with them, and how I would like it.

The funniest thing is that I blamed my interviews on "doctors appointments", but I did have my sketch ready for Jeanette on Thursday. So I didn't really have to be there at 12.30 sharp.

We started a "roll play" this week in school too. This means that each person sketches up a detailed design to give to another person that will make the pattern for it, and then hands it over to a second individual that will sew the garment in toille (which pretty much is a first fitting fabric = really rough cotton fabric). A roll play.

It'll be so nice with flexhours though during the coming 3 weeks of the roll play. Also spelled S-l-e-e-p_i-n.

In school we work with Gerbers patternconstruction program on Mondays & Thuesdays, and I absolutely LOVE it! For me, the program has been super easy to work with, and I wish I could say that about my fellow classmates. But I'm always way ahead of assignments and end up doing my own designs and consturctions from Wed-Fri Manual construction classes. Which also might be what I've learned the most doing.

Man this week has passed faster than no other...

This weekend doesn't really have anything exciting planned out. But I might be getting together for some tea and cookies with Stephanie later today.

Oh, ya! Two of my gift certificates came to very good use yesterday. I bought two wonderful tights from H&M (that have a wide waistband on it = We likie!). GinaTricot then treated me to a nice long cardigan, t-shirt with a Rockchick inspired print on it, a vest and a really cool black ballooned shirt (on sale for $6).

Best part about yesterday was that I met one of my old co-workers, Ammi. We worked together at GinaTricot a few years ago, and she is my favorite person in the world. So sweet, nice and honest. Oh, how I like Ammi. She deserves so much better then all the crap she gets at GinaTricot. but I'm really glad I met her last night.

On top of all the niceness yesterday was to skype with Brittany. I miss her a lot. She is like my sister, and I really can't wait to see her on pretty much a daily basis again. Just skypeing makes it a little bit harder.

This is Brittany. One of the last days I had back in Hawaii too. We were waiting in front of Heathers house to go down to Swapmeet. I miss swapmeet too. It's all crap and cheap tourist bracelets, but I love it anyway.

I'm sitting here, listening to the soundtrack to "500 Days of Summer" (If you haven't seen that movie, by the way, go see it!), and the soundtrack is absolutly fabulous.

But, as I'm listening and sewing on a new project, my mind wonders off to something that feels like such a long time ago, but isn't really so long ago, and peoples names pop up in my head.

yesterday (my birthday) was absolutely Fabulous! I am so lucky to have the friends and family I have. They really made this birthday memorable!

The morning started with the wakeup to "Happy Birthday" and a divine chocolate cake with lit candles and a birthday wish. Gifts were opened, and truly loved. With a sugar kick I went off to school.

After school, I went to Institute to meet up with a whole bunch of people that put a birthday crown and Hawaiian plastic Lei (yes, indeed! good thing they didn't get me a coconut bra though), and we all went to dinner at TGI Friday's. We were a big party of 16 people (8 boys and 8 girls), and had a blast at Friday's till midnight. They sang, and later on the whole Friday's crew came to sing for me too It was absolutely the best time I've ever had. Even better then the goodbye dinner at Cheesecake Factory in April.

On my way home from school today, I saw a boy that I went to school with. First to seventh grade, to be more exact. Way log time ago in Bethlehem..
I vision myself, in fifth, or maybe even sixth grade, on my way to his birthday party. That was when my family had just moved in to the same neighborhood as him. I remember how I that night, with slight success, plucked my eyebrows for the first time. I also remember not doing it to well on one side, ending with a slight glitch and having to fill it out with my Moms eyebrowpen.

Oh sweet craziness' this week. Craziness like no other. Good and bad.

I got my BYUH acceptance letter, visa papers and housing application. Turns out I need to apply for a whole new visa, had to call BYUH housing to tell them that "yes, i have attended BYUH for two semesters already, so I'm eligeble for off-campus housing", email a ton of people to get my byuh-page working (and it still isn't.. frick!), school is currently rolling at 140 mph and i have this toally crazy "fabric calculation" in a 1:4 scale (including seam allowances) to do before the 25th, work every saturday - for what feels like the rest off my life - and the list can go on and on.

But I'm glad to be backa t work at the same time. My co-workers loudly expressed their happiness with me being back every Saturday to work with them. I love them!

And my birthday is coming up. on Wednesday the 23d, to be more exact, and I have no idea what to wish for really.. It's so sad. :( I just want to be celebrated, loved and cuddled with, bu friends and family. Is that so wrong? And a few gift certificates could never go wrong for a poor student.

Man.. Autumn really hit Sweden hard this week, and it is beautiful and chilly. I finally got to pull out my favorite army green trench from H&M, heeled boots and knee stockings this week. I love it. Layers. Gosh I've missed layers.

The weekend is coming up. Really fast too. Tomorrow I'll be chilling with the other YSA's at the institute centre, that will be interesting, but new people have moved up to Stockholm, which makes life so much more interesting.

Just got back from the Gym with Emma and Sabine.

Incredibly nice! Last time I actually went to the gym was in march. Sadly enough. Well, I have gone to some kick-boxing sessions, and taken a few running trips around the neighborhood. But it was so nice to finally be able to go to the gym and give it my all, feel my back, arms and legs burn.

Who said exercise can't be effortless. I find it absolutely liberating at times.

I was thinking of starting September off with some hair dyeing. My slightly sun-bleached and rootshowing hair got a "facelift" and ended up a few tones darker. In the true spirit of brunettes of course. Today it looked kind of black-ish though. But it'll wash out and "calm down". Thank goodness.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot to tell you! After school on Friday, I met up with Fiston to talk business ideas and ended up at 'Café 60' for 2 hours. Fiston, who is and was very excited about my business idea, wanted to talk more and took me to his 15-year-old track team training, and then gave me a ride to Hammarbyhöjden where I met Stephanie and babysat Lea 1-year-old, (Steph's older brothers baby daughter). She is incredibly cute and such a nice and calm baby.

Hans and David, my friends from Örebro, came up to play. So, I left Steph with Lea (who really was babysitting her and I kept her company, the baby was a plus :D) to get on a train home to Åkersberga (which is where I live and basically means Fieldsberg), where I met up with David and Hans and played cardgames all night. Totally crazy, we all went babanas on cardgames and started watching a movie at 3.30am and crashed after 10 minutes.

Saturday was spent with a late (very late) lunch/early dinner and then off to the movies with the boys and my sisters. We saw Quentin Tarantino's new movie "Inglorious Basterds". Powerfull, a bit morbid, and violent movie with humorous parts. At the end of the movie, people applaude. Talk about feeling. Except for Tarantino using the actors flair for language (many of the actors being born in other countries and, of course, speaks another language), Tarantino reflects Nazism and WW2 in a way that I think a lot of people would have liked to see it go down in reality. An Amazing movie to say the least, especially for me and my sisters, having Jewish ancestry.

On Sunday Hans went home to Örebro, while David slept over till Monday (Yesterda) and will be spending the rest of the week with his older brother, that lives in Stockholm City.

A great weekend, to say the least. Even though me and Emma got really sick on Sunday.

yes, it is very true. This morning, I got my acceptance letter from BYU Hawaii. I woke up, reading my emails and noticed a mail with "CES Admissions have reached a decision regarding your application" and almost felt myself fainting. Not daring to open the app. site, I got ready and then had to read it. As soon as I read that I was re-admitted to BYUH I jumped on my sisters - who at that moment were deep in their beauty sleep - and told them my news. And of course, since they are the best sisters ever, they jumped up with me and cheered.

So on my way to school at 8am this morning, I listened to songs that reminded me of Hawaii, and it hit me again:
I'm readmitted and will be going back in January! I'm so happy I could die!

I have a ton of things to get done before going back; Housing, class reg, Visa and some other stuff.

Oh, I'm so excited.

So (man, I've noticed that I start a lot of these posts with "so"), yesterday, as I was zapping through TV channels, the 50's movie "Singing in the Rain" came on! Although I've heard music from that movie - Such as: Singing in the rain & Good Morning, Good Morning - I've never actually seen the movie. And now it's one of my favorite movies of all times, along with d'Amelie Poulain.

I remember me and my younger sister, Sabine, making up a routine for "Singing in the Rain" for a YM/YW conference way back in the days. Might even have been in 2003. Me, Sabine and three other people from our ward preformed that routing at a opening ceremony and the dance for that night had a 50's theme.

So, as I was pondering on the bus this morning. Yes, I tend to do that when I have way to much free time.. I found that, even though I feel kinda old (I know, 21-going-on-22 isn't that bad), I have managed to do a whole bunch of things in my life so far.

Like:
3 years of Fashion&Design Studies.
Work for 4 years (also while still in highschool)
Make a debut Fashion line (Jaykaiy) and sold every item through a blog.
Study a year in Hawaii, BYU Hawaii, (Art & Business studies)
Becoming a TA for Art department at BYU-Hawaii
Apply to a fashion school (FIDM), get in, decide not to go (because of ridiculous expenses).
Work again
Apply for new studies back in Sweden
Start Clothing Pattern Construction Program (That, by the end of the semester, will give me a diploma)

First day of school was fine. I was totally jet lagged and tired when I woke up at 10 to get ready for school. But everything went fine. First lecture, information and then right down to business, making a skirt construction from scratch (peace of cake!). And then class ended 30minutes earlier.

Hi,
I'm now sitting at my gate at Portland's airport (PDX) and waiting for my flight. In 30 minutes, boarding will begin, so I'm taking the opportunity to charge my iPod and computer. Life savors on the flight home! 5 hours to Newark and another 7,5 to Stockholm. Thank goodness for free airport WiFi! Finally a airport that understands its travelers need to check facebook and emails! (haha)

It sure has been one intense Friday. And Saturday. Up early on Friday morning to go get stuff for the homecoming party decoration, and piñata, held for the McPhee's brother Michael that on Tuesday came home from Costa Rica. (So the official home coming party was held on Friday). All day we've been cooking food, getting stuff that was missing, running earrends, set up tables and food, dishing and me and Paul made the piñata for the kids. Pretty funny actually, because it looked like a missionary, with the tag and everything, the kids thought it was hilarious! The party started at 6pm and most time was spent on entertaining guests, and kids in my case, while the McPhee's mingled. I met a few guests that I encountered earlier on my stay in Oregon, from the weddings the very first day and then some of Paul's and Brittany's friends.

The rest of the evening we helped clean up, and the left for the airport at 11.30 pm. I didn't sleep at all, and it wasn't really that bad either, bacause I had to stay awake to make sure Paul wouldn't fall asleep. Which was fine too, bacause he surprised me with bringing his yearbook that I asked for earlier, but he wouldn't show me (or coudln't find for that matter). So he told me loads of funny stories and facts about the seniors he graduated with. So fun!

So here I am, really sad to leave. I know I'll miss Brittany alot! She's my sister from another mister. :) And I'll miss Paul. Of course I'll miss him.

School starts on Monday morning, and I feel ready to start studying again after a few months of not really doing anything but work. I'm prepped with sharpies and pens bought at Fred Meyer and a craft store (since your stuff is so much sheaper that Sweden, and kinda nicer too..). Gotta love the states! Especielly Sharpies, my favorite pens. Aside from all of the school materials, i have a ton of candy for the fam in my carry-on.

Yep, 5 hours to Newark, and 8,5 home to Stockholm. Sunday mrning, at 7.35am, I'll be home in breezy Sweden again.

On Thursday, me and Paul finally got some time together, since I've been haning alot alot with Brittany too. So we went to the movies and saw "the orphan". it was a bit of a nail-biter, and had some pretty nasty scenes.

After the movie on Thursday, we picked up Paul's friend Pojo (Paul John VonStrahl) and made Medford a little bit dangerous. Haha, certainly not. But we did take a trip over to a "Haunter House" which, when the boys kept freaking me out, seemed pretty scary. Nail shut doors, none has lived there for years, half rusty, trashed, dirty and surrounded by huge thorn bushes and grass, a dark night with a moon hanging right over the rooftop, made it look like an ideal scary haunted house. But when we finally walked up to it, it didn't seem that scary. And we couldn't find our way in either since everything was nailed shut.

Instead, we ended up on a mini night-road-trip around Medford, looking over the city and watching the beautiful sky, and ate ice-cream at Sharis, around 4 at night.

I'm thinking about tomorrow. I have to start packing.. Am I to lazy to pack? There's two days left, I HAVE TO PACK! I'm always the one to pack two weeks before leaving, and it's now less than three days left. PANIC! In between sewing my shorts, I've done laundry loads. Of course I'd wanna bring all of my favorite outfits to Los Angeles and Medford. OF COURSE! The suitcase is on the floor together with the huge bag of Swedish candy for the Americans that I ran down to the store to get. I thought that it would only be fair to get Paul and Brittany some good stuff, since Paul, that kind boy, sent a whole box full of my favorite American candy and gum from the States a few weeks ago. Fabulous!

The bag to the far left contains the REAL Swedish fish. Both fruit flavored and salt liquorice. I gotta say though, the American version of Swedish fish is so much better then ours are. They taste totally differently.

Tomorrow I'll be eating lunch with my Dad at some new vegetarian place he found in Stockholm. YES! Wednesday will be the 6th month celebration of me being vegetarian. And I will admit, I've never felt better! Really!

After lunch I'll have to run over to a store called "Mattson's Band" to buy some decorative chains for Brittany's shirt, mail that t-shirt order and pick up a transfer before going to see the new Harry Potter movie with my sister and my Dad. Anyone seen it? Comments?

Interesting day. First day of vacationing included making a pair of fabulous shorts. And yes, they're made by moï. I'm so pleased!

Last Day of Work.

Today, (and yes, I am such a sinner), it was my last day of work. My boss asked me to work this Sunday before she went on her vacation, obviously so that I could totally be pepped for mine, haha. So as from now, and tomorrow, I'm on vacation. Packing is on my list for tomorrows things 2do, along with making a pair of shorts, mailing a t-shirt order and fixing a pair of leggings that ripped.

This week though, has been lovely. Work has been awesome and time just flew by. Last Monday This lady in my ward, and our Relief Society President (She is THE coolest lady ever), Gunilla, asked Sabine, Stephanie and I to come over for a few hours to eat some fresh blueberry pie&ice-cream and enjoy the sun with her. That was the best start of my week! Not only is she such a sweet and good-hearted person, but she also sews clothes for herself and for others, all the time. She is so creative! She just reeks of inspiration! I think we've all meet one older person in our lives that just inspires us. Gunilla is that person.
